Veronika Krauß is a Professor of Computer Science and Media, specializing in UX and UI, at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences. Her research focuses on responsible system design, with a particular interest in manipulative and deceptive practices in emerging technologies—especially in the areas of extended reality (XR) and artificial intelligence (AI).
Her previous work has explored dark patterns in XR and their unintended implementation through large language models. She earned her PhD with a dissertation examining how professionals approach XR design, and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Darmstadt.
Her award-winning research has been presented at international conferences.
