“Marshmallow Mystery” tells the story of a summer camp where mysterious things are happening. Two of the children there decide to take on the role of detectives and uncover what is really going on. However, they need the help of the audience, who – equipped with a map of the camp and an interactive AR app – must conduct their own investigations. Thanks to the app, various locations on the map come to life and can be searched for clues. In addition, the audience must question witnesses in order to gradually uncover the mysterious events happening at the camp. However, dilemmas start to arise as the investigation increasingly invades the privacy of the other children. Where should the boundaries be drawn? “Marshmallow Mystery” invites playful engagement with such questions.
