Andreas Dahn became known for his visual effects work on GAME OF THRONES, GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2.
He studied directing and visual effects at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. His thesis film E.T.A. HOFFMANNS DER SANDMANN from 2012 is still receiving international recognition.
Since his residency at Zurich University of the Arts, he has been exploring performance capture and real-time rendering for virtual production and interactive experiences. His immersive works were exhibited at Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, Europa-Park, IFA Berlin, Siggraph, Ars Electronica, FMX and XRC.
He takes part at this year’s XRC with the short film CAT CONTENT – a non-local virtual production for Trans Media Lab of Design Academy Eindhoven in collaboration with Aalto University Helsinki.
