VRescue

Nominated for the XRC24

Realistic and highly immersive practical training in emergency medicine is associated with high costs for simulation materials and personnel. In addition, certain training scenarios, such as mass casualty incidents, require significant logistical and planning efforts.

That’s why we’re developing VRescue, a flexible, immersive, and user-friendly complete solution to enhance and optimize practical emergency medicine training. VRescue consists of a virtual reality simulation, a web application for trainers, and (in the future) a companion app for trainees.

The simulation offers various environments, realistically portrayed and simulated patients, and is configurable via our web application. The web application allows full customization of the simulation to meet individual needs and create case scenarios. Users automatically receive feedback on their performance.

In the future, learning plans can be created and assigned to users to track their progress.

‘VRescue – customizable virtual reality training simulation for emergency medicine’ has been nominated for the nextReality.Contest in the Interactive Education category.
