For over 25 years, Olaf has been active in the tourism industry, combining in-depth marketing expertise with a keen eye for digital innovation. After starting out as Sales & Marketing Manager at KUHNLE-TOURS GmbH, he joined the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) in 1999, where he first served as Online Marketing Manager and later as Director of Media Management.
Since 2023, he has been working as an Innovation Manager with a focus on sustainable tourism, accessible travel, and digital innovation. As a trend scout, he develops innovative marketing solutions and is responsible for numerous award-winning projects in the fields of augmented, virtual, and mixed reality as well as the metaverse.
In addition to his project work, Olaf serves on several national and regional juries, is active as a speaker and moderator, and promotes Germany worldwide as a travel destination of the future.
