Thomas Riedel

Thomas is a freelance tech-journalist and host and producer of Spatial Realities, an XR, Metaverse, and Spatial Computing industry podcast. The podcast hosts a quarterly meetup, summoning nearly 100 XR industry professionals to exchange ideas on the most important topics and industry shifts.

In all things XR, Thomas is also a keynote speaker and guest on other podcasts, often debunking myths about the Metaverse, or lately generative AI. He regularly appears on the German TV news station n-tv as an XR expert.

Before focusing on XR, Thomas reported on digital product development for Digitale Leute, was an editor at deutsche-startups.de and founded his own startup, Nerdhub, which he later gave up at a FuckUp Night in DĂ¼sseldorf.
