Jan Jessen

While completing his master’s thesis on the technological hurdles hindering the adoption of heads-up displays in the maritime sector, Jan joined Apprisify in 2023 to help overcome these challenges and develop the first heads-up display for maritime use. He became a Development Engineer in 2024 and has served as Tech Lead since 2026. Following an extensive development campaign and sea trials aboard cargo, crew-transfer, and naval vessels, Apprisify introduced the nearly two-metre-wide “SmartWindow” heads-up display system and received official certification for it earlier this year.
