Jonas Kirchner studied at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg (2009–2014) and is the founder and managing director of Pixelcloud, a Stuttgart-based creative studio for interactive media, VR and immersive storytelling. Since 2011 he has led the agency, whose work includes virtual tours of historic sites, VR installations and serious games. Pixelcloud's VR experience "Blautopf VR" won the German Developer Award (Deutscher Entwicklerpreis) in 2019 as well as the nextReality.Award. His latest project, "Carbon Dream$ Land", is a multiplayer VR game for Meta Quest 3 that turns the climate crisis into a playable experience.
