Dr. Leon Pietschmann

Leon is a researcher and expert in immersive and emerging technologies at the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) and Boston Consulting Group (BCG), as well as at academic institutions including Cambridge and Harvard. With a particular focus on Extended Reality (XR), he operates at the intersection of technical innovation and strategy. At THW, he led the design, development, implementation and scaling of XR initiatives for training of THW emergency responders. Beyond his involvement in more than a hundred XR projects and academic collaborations, he regularly serves as juror and keynote speaker at various (XR) events such as Hack Harvard, MIT Reality Hack and AWE.
