Viktor Waal is the founder and CEO of spotAR, a browser-based WebAR platform for city marketing, tourism and smart city applications. He started in 2016 with digital historical city tours and has spent more than ten years building AR experiences that work without an app download – from guided tours and gamified city rallies to art and retail activations. Today spotAR is live in more than 20 German cities, including Bremen, Goslar and Ratingen; the Soest project was honoured with the ADAC Tourismuspreis. Viktor speaks regularly on XR in public space.
